Smartphones - Dialoge

 Customer and Sales Assistant

A: Can you help me, please? Why is this smartphone cheaper than that one?

B: This one is a budget model. That one is a top-of-the-range phone. It's got all the latest features.

A: What are the main differences between them?

B: The main advantage of budget smartphones is the lower price. They've got the same basic functions, but they haven't got as many extra features.

A: Can you still get a good Internet connection on the cheaper ones?

B: Yes, no problem.

A: What about downloading films?

B: If you want a smartphone for downloading, playing games, etc. it's better to get one of the more expensive models. This Timewise Mercury is great value.

A: What other disadvantages has the budget smartphone got?

B: The camera isn't as good as on an expensive model. The images are lower resolution and the lens and sensors are lower quality.

A: That's good to know. The camera is what I use the most.

B: Also, the battery in a budget smartphone doesn't last as long as in the more expensive models. The battery life is less than eight hours. The others last more than ten.

A: OK. Thank you for the information.

TRANSLATION

A: Pots ajudar-me, siusplau?

A: Està bé saber això. La càmera és la que més utilitzo.

B: A més, la bateria en un mòbil econòmic no dura tant com en els models costosos. La vida de la bateria es de menys de vuit hores. Les altres duren més de deu.

A: D'acord. Gràcies per la informació.

        Giving Directions

         Giving Directions

In this route we will go from Balaguer to Solsona. It's a route that I like because I did it in my motorbike.

We leave from Carrefour, so first you have to turn left and go to the roundabout and take the third leave, to the left.

Then we will go straight until we see Servi i Micro Finance SLU on our left. Some meters ahead we will see an intersection, and we will turn right, to Agramunt direction.

You will go through these five towns, Montgai, Butsènit, Les Ventoses, Pradell and Preixens. Go straight because Agramunt is just a few meters ahead.

As soon as you enter Agramunt, you have to turn left, opposite to Torrons Vicens. Then turn right at the first traffic light.

You will turn right as soon as you see Natura Herbolari on your left. Keep straight until you reach Plaça Onze de Setembre, and then turn left. At the moment you see Vintage store, on your right, turn right. A few meters ahead you will reach an intersection which you will see a mural on your right, then turn left. After that, while you are going straight, you will turn right and then left as soon as possible. Keep straight and at the next intersection, you will take the left direction. Don't worry, now you just have to go straight for some kilometres.

As you reach Bellver d'Ossó, you will turn left. Following Mont-Roig's direction.

Keep straight until you reach this roundabout which you have to take the third leave, so turn left. Keep straight until Guissona.

Then, after Guissona, go straight for 20 minutes and you will reach your destination.
